Cherie’s Answer

There are many people uncertain as to what their career path should be. However, be confident in knowing you will ultimately come to know what you desire to do for a career. I encourage you to speak with your school counselor about this very topic. They may offer you to take a career assessment. The results of a career assessment will help identify jobs of strong interest to you. As you continue to pursue your education, you will also take courses that will spark your interest. Don't be afraid to explore your interest. Ultimately, whatever you truly are passionate about is an area you will want to focus. One should enjoy their career and if they are passionate about it, they will definitely enjoy it.
My best to you!

Definitely take whatever subject you have a small interest in and run with it! In high school, I enjoyed taking math courses that challenged me, so going into college I researched various math majors and narrowed it down to the one that I found to be most interesting.

I would also suggest utilizing whatever resources you have to learn more about varying majors. YouTube has videos on nearly anything you can think of, so learning more and hearing what other people think is very helpful!

It's completely fine if you're unsure about your future plans. Remember to stay curious and don't hesitate to venture beyond your comfort zone, experimenting with new experiences. You won't know if you enjoy something until you give it a shot! Many of my friends have switched their career paths after finishing college, and that's perfectly alright. The most important thing is to find joy in what you do and truly savor the experience!

Mackenzie’s Answer

Try anything and everything!

It's easier to find out what you like to do once you figure out what you don't want to do.

For example: I used to want to do real estate and then I listed to about 10 podcasts and lost interest. If I don't want to learn about it, I probably shouldn't do it for a career.

You should definitely consider applying for a summer internship in a field that sparks even a little bit of interest in you. This experience can offer you a valuable perspective on various professions and help you discover your true passion.
