Depending on the university you're applying to, the strategies may vary, but here's some general guidance that can help you. First, immerse yourself in the subject matter you're interested in. This could mean reading books, browsing through magazines, or watching YouTube videos. Ensure that your interest is strong enough to sustain you through at least three years of intensive study. This way, when it's time to write your personal statement or attend interviews, you'll have an abundance of material to discuss.

Next, consider participating in online courses. These courses can provide a glimpse into the academic rigor of university-level education. Plus, many of these courses are offered at no cost to you.

Lastly, prioritize achieving high grades and planning for the future. This will not only enhance your application but also set you up for success in your academic journey. Best of luck!

The first thing you will want to do is be sure to get good grades and focus on your schooling.

When you get to high school, you will have career counselors that can help you get set up for the course schedule that will be most helpful to you depending on where and what you plan to pursue for a career.

Is the USA standardized testing is still a thing for most universities. You will want to study and do well on those if they are required by the school you want to go to. (SAT/ACT)

Then the other thing to do is research the application process to the school you want to go to. Most have secondary or tertiary requirements, such as letters of recommendation, essays, portfolios or extracurriculars (such as volunteering or internships). If you know those requirements it will help guide you.

Then the last step is to do the application, be sure to submit it on time. Most schools have an early admin option which is usually a little cheaper on the fees and gives you some breathing room before final deadlines, but those delivery dates are earlier so things need to be done sooner - planning will be important.

Have a list of a couple schools and do research on the application process, their websites are usually pretty clear on how things work, what their expectations are and most have some sort of contact point to follow up with questions.
