I got all A's in my science and math classes, but I have a hard time understanding science. I really want to become a nurse but I'm scared I won't be able to pass all the science related classes. Should I become a nurse or think about another major????

Please help me on what to do and where to get resources

Do not change your mind and stay on course with nursing. If you passed with A's you will be fine and pass anatomy and physiology classes as well. As far as math goes, algebra is what you will need for nursing. Believe in yourself and you will achieve your goal to be a nurse. The world needs more nurses like you. Most colleges have tutoring and classmates are the best ones to for study groups. Also with everything available online 'Khan academy ' has numerous videos on everything to improve study time. You need to schedule study time just like an appointment and stick to schedule.
Best of luck. ME

No worries!! Every person that I know has a hard time understanding science and math. Getting an "A" strongly suggests you are understanding the material before test day. I always struggled on test day and developed a deeper understanding of the material weeks or months after test day as I was applying the new knowledge. If you still have a working knowledge of the material months after the test, this new understanding becomes foundational knowledge. This foundational knowledge is the building block that allows you to learn the scientific concepts that will come later. Eventually, the collective foundational knowledge will be what you use in a job as nurse, doctor, scientist or engineer.

For the time being, don't worry about being a nurse, doctor, scientist, or engineer. Focus on learning as much science as you can because that knowledge will serve you in any career you choose.

Now the bigger question.... Perhaps you should be shooting higher in you career goals. Have you considered being a biologist, doctor, medical researcher, or science teacher? In my experience, the best teachers are the ones that found the subject hard not easy.

Good luck with all your career goals. May your life be filled with fair winds and following seas.
