Hi Wesley,

You find a lot of information aboutlawyering here:
https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/career-development/how-to-become-a-lawyer

Basically, you start with an undergraduate degree (BSc), then apply to law school to study law, possible do a doctorate (JD). In some states a JD is required in others it is not. But that's a few years away anyway. And if you want to be practising as a lawyer, you need to pass the bar exam.

Good luck!

Hello Wesley,

To begin, securing a Bachelor's degree is your first step towards undergraduate education. It's essential to hone your critical analysis skills throughout your studies. These skills will be particularly useful when you delve into case and statutory law analysis.

I recommend enrolling in moot court classes, which will provide practical insights into the legal field. Volunteering within the legal sector, be it in a corporate setting or government, will offer invaluable hands-on experience.

While in law school, networking can be a beneficial tool. It not only allows you to practice your social skills but also opens doors to potential opportunities.

Before you can apply to law school, you'll need to pass the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). There are numerous resources available to help you prepare, including online classes and study books.
