What made you want to go into your profession ?
I don't have motivation for much and I wanted to know if anything else could be a deciding factor in that

I loved Computer Programming, working with a Team and Traveling. As a Customer Facing Technical Person for the past 38 years I have had the opportunity to do all of those things. It's not always smooth and there are days when I say to myself "I love my Job", "I love my Job", but over all the rewards are better than the stresses.
No Job is perfect!! If there was a perfect job we would all be working for that Company. It's definitely ok to take the time to really find out what you want to do. You will enjoy working more if you are doing something you love or are passionate about and it won't seem like a job because you absolutely love it. These days there are mentors that can help, There is Social Media like LinkedIn that is awesome to use.

Hello, Aureliana !
It always helps to reach out in times where one lacks motivation. The first question to ask yourself is what is holding you back and what can you do to change it. Start at the beginning. One cannot easily jump from no motivation to actively pursuing something. It will take a bit of internalizing and breaking down the barriers that keep you at a standstill. You may not be motivated because a career interest just hasn't come to you yet and that's perfectly okay. Everyone discovers their calling at different times in their life and in different ways. You will discover your own way.
Eventually you will be inspired by something you enjoy. That is how it usually starts. The best way to make these discoveries is to be involved with activities, hobbies, a variety of people, education, lots of reading and exploring and getting in tune with your strong points and talents. But you have to get personally involved to make this discovery. Join clubs and participate in a variety of activities at school, choosing ones that you enjoy, perhaps in your favorite school subjects. Try to broaden your social circle to have a wider support system. Having people around you that are enthusiastic and positive about life will hopefully help with your motivation. It doesn't matter much what made someone else go into a particular career because everyone is different and your personal inspiration will come from within you, not from outside from someone else's career path. It's also important to not compare yourself with others because everyone is so different and comparisons can turn into being a barrier for your road to motivation.
Take your time with this. Explore hobbies and interests and eventually you will get that spark of inspiration for a career you really will love. Once that happens, follow through with mini goals and keep focused.
Best wishes to you !

I've been making games and interactive experiences, and developing and organising events for communities, 'alongside' everything else since I was 8. It took a long time for me to realise that what I was filling my free time with wasn't something everyone had an interest in or even enjoyed, but everything I did before it became my job contributes to my work now on a day-to-day basis.
Of course, not everything I enjoy is part of my job or something one could be paid to do, but Michelle's advice will help you get there. Just wanted to add that it's okay for it to take some time, it's okay to explore routes that lead to you discovering they aren't right for you, and everything you explore in between will add to your knowledge about yourself & contribute to your future journey!
