Hi Lisbeth, I live not far from you in Boston which has some schools with excellent Communication programs. Emerson College and Boston University immediately come to mind. As a high school guidance counselor, I am familiar with both programs. I noticed that many of our local TV news reporters in Boston are Emerson graduates. When selecting a school, make sure it has a strong Communications/Journalism undergraduate program with tons of internships in radio, TV & print media. Also, don't wait for internships until college, start now. Boston TV has many affiliate stations in your area. You are surrounded by lots of opportunities. Boston is one of the top 10 media markets in the U.S. and it's right in your own backyard! One of my former students is in her 2nd year at Emerson & is just completing a semester abroad in France this December. Studying abroad might interest you, as well. Also, look to see who are some of the famous alumni in Communications or Journalism for a particular school. That might give you extra insight into the school's success rate.
