You will need to get good grades in college in order to apply for medical school. At the medical school I attended, the average GPA is reported to be 3.85, so even one or two B's can hurt your chances of acceptance.

Due to the competitiveness of medical school , you need to have a strong GPA and have a lot of dedication to extra circular activities such as research and clinical engagements. However, if you are in high school, I would suggest going to a University that has a name backing and has a good program in pre-med. In high school, aim for a high gpa and extra circulars in general in order to get into a good university.
