Hi Melin,

I am a fan of k-pop as well and have listened some League of Legend music.

- Learn more about the Korean culture. Watch videos on Youtube and other platforms to learn more their history, language, and past times. After gaining some insight, you can add aspects of their culture into your song lyrics.

- Learn more about the entertainment industry in Korea. Why are some K-pop groups popular? Strong lead singer, energetic dance moves, music appeals to mass audience, have a recognizable brand/marketing, etc.

- Study Choreography from K-pop groups. Just like other music genres, dancing/movement is involved and practice is the best way to get better.

- Ask your friends and/or family to rate your song. They are not experts, but they can give you feedback on what they liked about the song.

- I am not sure if there are many schools in your area that offer courses for K-pop, but you can learn by searching K-pop dance college or similar search terms. I found an article indicating that San Diego State University offered a course. ( https://psfa.sdsu.edu/news/2023/sdsu-offers-first-k-pop-dance-classin-us)

Hello again, Jordyn !

Sounds like you are on the right track already. Make sure you video tape your new song and any performances and start a You Tube channel. That would be wonderful !

There are no K-Pop high schools, but one has opened last year in Singapore. I don't believe there are any in North America, however. I am providing a link to the school in Singapore just so you could see and read about the only K-POP high school. Maybe more will open up.

I would also advise searching for K-Pop groups on social media and hopefully there are some nearby where you live.

You sound very proactive and capable and I just wanted to come back and give you some support. Best wishes to you !

Keep writing songs. Keep working on your live performance (whether that's also taking drama/acting). Keep being yourself. Don't worry about how many people at school or friends like what you're doing. Hang out with those who do like your music and support you. Prepare and be ready for when the world discovers you.
