How can history make a difference in the world today?

I will pursue a degree in history and would like to know how I can use that knowledge to make a difference today.

I have been working in the field of history since 2013 and the work is very rewarding. My mission in life is to inform and enlighten people about the struggles and triumphs of the people of color in this country. I work to bring those stories to light. My idea is that arming students with a clear understanding of this country's past gives them greater understanding of the present and helps inform their individual decisions in the future.
