How much harder is it for a minority to get a job after college graduation?

I understand, in today's society, we are much more open and accepting to race. However, this question comes from experience.

When I was in middle school, I was walking home once and was stopped, handcuffed and searched by a police officer because I looked "suspicious."

That wasn't even my first encounter where a police officer harassed me because he/she thought I looked suspicious.

So, I ask this specific question because, being Mexican-American, I have always faced obstacles trying to prevent me from getting ahead in life.
Will I continue to face obstacles upon entering the professional world simply because of my race?

First, sorry to hear of your life's experiences thus far. One experience like yours does not define the Countries Police force, nor should it define what you should expect in a professional career. Look, as a Caucasian male, living in a low income neighborhood as a youth, I was stopped a quite a few times by the police.

However, I can tell you that the Corporate Environments I have worked in thus far has no 'color' just well, educated, experienced techs that happen to come from all walks of life. Let your skills define you and who you are not restrict you by past experiences.
