Hi Ndi, International Relations subjects are vast from economics to conflict management to language. I think of International Relations as understanding how the world works and how countries interact with each other on trade, treaties, conflict and social issues. You can specialize in any subject you want and still maintain a broader knowledge to be flexible.

Since you plan to attend college I have given this recommendation every student I meet to study abroad! It will open your eyes and give you an idea of how other countries work/have life balance/ and create a community before you even graduate! Also you will have time to see what amazing things are where you choose to go. I attended a university in Madrid and honestly it was the best thing I did to make my resume stand out. Also a bonus, the college was a “sister college of my university.” Even better the cost per class taken there was much less than my USA Alma mater and the cost of living was less there. You can use student loans to cover this as well. Do it while you are young!
