In layperson terms, what do you actually do at work?
I'm a telecommunications engineer currently working at Cisco as consulting engineer focused on Internet Service Providers. Cisco is a company that produces, sells telecommunications equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, data centers, etc) as well as professional services regarding telecommunications. I participate in or lead complex network migrations projects from old Cisco platforms to new Cisco platforms or any competitive platforms (e.g. Juniper, Huawei, Nokia) to Cisco.
What is it like when your job gets tough?
Is stressing, uncertain, you can't sleep so well, sometimes you feel overwhelm, but in the end, you learn of it, get experience and get satisfied with the hard work done. You should avoid a job that is never tough as well as a job that is so tough that you don't have a life.
