Carl’s Answer
Janitorial staff doesn't make squat. The people who make the money are the ones who own the contract and own their own business. If you can get a position at a government building or a hospital, that would pay more. With so many people working from home now, you just don't have any need for office cleaning.
Look into maintenance tech or air bnb cleaner

Hello!
The earnings of cleaners can vary widely depending on several factors, including location, experience, type of employment (residential, commercial, or specialized cleaning), and the specific employer.
Average Salaries:
United States:
Residential Cleaners: Typically earn between $12 to $25 per hour.
Commercial Cleaners: Generally earn between $10 to $20 per hour.
Specialized Cleaners (such as those for medical facilities): May earn between $15 to $30 per hour.
United Kingdom:
Cleaners generally earn around £8 to £12 per hour.
Canada:
Cleaners can earn about CAD 14 to CAD 25 per hour.
Factors Influencing Earnings:
Location: Urban areas tend to pay more than rural areas.
Experience: More experienced cleaners may command higher wages.
Type of Work: Specialized or commercial cleaning often pays more than residential cleaning.
Employer: Working for a cleaning company may offer different rates than self-employment.
To get a more accurate estimate, you may want to check local job listings or consult wage information for your specific region. Good luck!
