How does on prepare for the extremely demanding and emotionally taxing career that is nursing?
I'm currently a first year in college under a Accelerated BSN program, and sometimes I worry that I'm not prepared for what the Nursing Program will demand, as well as the career itself. Will I be ready by the time I reach the Nursing Program itself? Or is it more of a learning experience as you go?

You're doing great simply by reflecting and asking these questions, it's a sign of self-awareness and dedication. Each stage of the journey, from school to your first job and beyond, is filled with growth. Nursing, like many professions, is very much a learning experience as you go. The beauty of it is that you’re never expected to know everything at once. Give yourself time to learn, make mistakes, and continuously learn.
What makes nursing especially rewarding is its sense of purpose. And with so many paths within the field, you truly can follow where your heart leads you, whether it's bedside care, leadership, research, education, or something else. Stay curious and trust that you’ll grow into the role with time and support.
