I play golf all the time and I love playing the sport. It helps me get away from things and also helps me meet more people. I also love entertaining people and making people laugh and have a good time.

1. Join Clubs and Organizations
Look for a golf club or intramural golf team on campus.
Explore other student organizations that match your interests—comedy clubs, event planning, or social groups.
2. Attend Campus Events
Go to welcome week activities, sports games, open mic nights, or student mixers.
These events are designed for students to mingle and make friends.
3. Use Your Interests
Invite classmates or dorm mates to play golf or hit the driving range.
Host small gatherings or game nights—your love for entertaining will shine here.
4. Get Involved in Residence Life
Participate in dorm activities or floor meetings.
Offer to help organize events or be the person who brings people together.
5. Be Open and Approachable
Smile, introduce yourself, and ask others about their interests.
Use your sense of humor to break the ice and make people feel comfortable.
6. Connect in Class
Form study groups or chat with classmates before or after lectures.
Suggest grabbing coffee or lunch to get to know each other outside of class.

The best way to meet people in college is to actively participate in campus life and take advantage of opportunities to connect with others. Here are some effective strategies:
1. Join Clubs and Organizations: Find groups that match your interests—academic, cultural, recreational, or service-oriented. Clubs are a great way to meet like-minded people.
2. Attend Campus Events: Go to social events, workshops, sports games, and campus festivals. These gatherings are designed to help students mingle and make connections
3. Get Involved in Sports or Intramurals: Whether you join a varsity team, club sport, or intramural league, athletics are a natural way to bond with others.
4. Participate in Study Groups: Collaborating with classmates on assignments or exam prep can lead to friendships and academic support.
5. Live on Campus: If possible, living in dorms or student housing puts you in close proximity to other students and makes it easier to meet people.
6. Volunteer: Community service projects and campus volunteering events attract students who care about similar causes.
7. Be Open and Approachable: Smile, introduce yourself, and be willing to start conversations with classmates, roommates, or people you meet around campus.
8. Take Advantage of Orientation: Orientation programs are specifically designed to help new students meet each other and get comfortable on campus.
The key is to be proactive and open to new experiences. Most students are also looking to make friends, so don’t be afraid to take the first step!

I would recommend seeing if your college has a golf club or other sports clubs that you can join. I would highly recommend joining associations and being active in any school related activities. The more you put yourself out there, the better chance you will have a meeting likeminded individuals.

I'm also a golfer! My advice is getting to know the people in your major or classes. Starting with a shared interest will build a foundation. It also may help syncing your schedules allowing you to do more things together. Flocks of a feather tend to fly together.
Be a good listener; look people in the eye when they are talking with you. Suggest going to comedy clubs, open-mic, etc. Play golf together, or if they are semi-interested in golf-suggest playing a par 3 course, or begin with 9 holes.

I would recommend joining a golf team if your school has one. It would also be good to see if your school has a club for entertaining people. You can also try attending fun school events and/or making conversation with your classmates. All you have to do is put yourself out there.
