What programs or jobs are recommended to make becoming an Orthodontist easier?
I am a sophomore at Antwerp Local Highschool. I am interested in the dental field, specifically orthodontics though. I would love to go to college (or participate in programs or internships) within the states of Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.

Hi! My sister is about to start school to become an Orthodontist. She's 24 years old and just finished Dental School.
Becoming an Orthodontist is a rewarding but specialized path in dentistry. To make the journey easier and more strategic, you can shadow an orthodontist and join volunteer opportunities at dental clinics, community health events, or school dental programs. She did all of that!
Congratulations!

Dear Iris, in my country (Chile), there are prerequisites for admission to the postgraduate program in Orthodontics. One of them is a diploma in Interceptive (or Preventive) Orthodontics. It's also necessary to have at least one scientific publication on topics related to orthodontics, or hours of orthodontic assistantship. It's not necessary to complete all the qualifications, but publication is essential. I hope I've helped you, good luck!!
