How can i change my study habits? What do I need to know about the radiology tech program? I am a graduating senior wanting to get into the program, still working on my basics, but knowing about this stuff now would help me tremendously!

How can i get better at studying, and what tips would help?

Using flash cards helped me a lot when I was in Xray school and also studying with my classmates, you can learn from each other and help fill in the gaps together! Also once you get through the program and are studying for your registry/certification exam, there are multiple sites that have free practice tests, highly recommend doing those multiple times before your big exam!

In terms of the actual rad tech program, you’ll most likely take classes such as medical terminology, radiation physics, anatomy/gross anatomy, patient safety, etc. For my program, our junior year we had school 3 days a week from 8am-4pm. then clinical in the hospital 8-4 (basically unpaid internship) 2 days a week. Then senior year it flipped, class 2 days a week and clinical 3 days a week into the summer (you’ll need to log a certain amount of clinical hours). Hope that helps! :)
Thank you comment icon I appreciate you taking the time to answer this. Summer

There’s a lot of options for studying. You can record the audio of your classes to you can remember what you’re professors talked about. You can color code with different highlighters what is important from your books and notes. Use flash cards to remember tests and quizzes. You can look up extra books to read about your program to read on your own time. I’m sure there are also some audiobooks available for you to listen to while you work on other things. Hope this helps!
