What Should the Future Look Like?
I don't know. I don't know everything—that's why I'm asking. Should it be more peaceful? More fair? Should everyone have equal opportunities, no matter where they're from? That sounds right, but it feels a long way off. What about the world? I hear lots of talk of global warming, and I know it's true. Should the future be cleaner and more sustainable? Probably. But how do we get there? And then there's technology. It's moving fast—too fast, perhaps. Is the future supposed to consist of AI and machines, or is there a place we shouldn't go? I don't know. I think we need to be wondering. Dreaming. Because if we're not questioning what the future should look like, who gets to decide what it will become? I don't know.

I believe no single human can have a complete, timeless answer to this, and therefore I think it's imperative we keep asking this question, and ask it of folks with very different perspectives -- which is exactly what you're doing!
For me personally, humanity's curiosity, diligence, resilience and diversity means we have the ability to achieve progress across a wide range of challenges. To enable as many people as possible to contribute with their unique skills & experiences, they need access -- to education, people, and means.
So to me, I believe the future should look more equal in access. Opportunities to be educated, network, and build the progress folks care most deeply to achieve.
What defines whether progress is good or bad? Well, I suppose after 'access', I'd probably say folks need humility and an open mind, inviting perspectives other than their own, to facilitate respectful, considerate discourse.. but, that seems to be tricky in this day and age, so while I do what I can to encourage this, I'm focusing on 'access' first, myself, ha!
