Hi Ana,
I realize this response is late in relation to when you submitted it, but nonetheless, happy to provide my two cents and hope that it helps. :)
As a recruiter specializing in early career hiring, it's important to attend any career fairs that your university may put on for your major so that you can get to know the companies in your field, as well as make connections with employees at those companies. Additionally, I always recommend signing up for talent communities that companies have, where you can essentially subscribe to receive notifications of job openings that pertain to your background and interests. Lastly, don't be afraid to reach out to people on LinkedIn who either work for companies you are interested in or are in the general field; you will never regret putting yourself out there. :)
Best of luck!

Hi Ana!
Here are some paths you might consider. Your school probably hosts a career fair, which is a great place to start since those companies are eager to hire students like you. There might be career fairs specific to your major or hosted by groups like SWE, NSBE, or WiM. Check out what these groups offer to see if any of them suit you. Also, companies and organizations often post job openings on their websites. If you know where you want to work, applying directly can be a good move. For policy jobs, consider looking into opportunities with government officials or lawyers. Don’t hesitate to reach out to people! The best advice I've received is that you won't get what you don't ask for. Share your goals and dreams with others, and work towards making them happen!
