That's a fantastic question! Start by discovering what you truly love to do. Once you know your interest and passion, dive into research in that area to explore job opportunities, businesses, franchises, or entrepreneurship. Seek advice from experts or people you trust and keep up with the latest trends. If you still feel excited, jump in and always give it your all. All the best!

Hi James! As a student, you can be sure to take classes that relate to each of the areas that you are interested in. Since "we don't know what we don't know," it is in taking the various classes that you will be exposed more to in-depth detail and application of those areas of study. You will then tend to find the areas that you enjoy and that just feel like a better fit for you. Talk to the professors of the classes that you enjoy most, asking for other classes that expand from there, or what their thoughts are on careers that you could pursue using this type of study. Many teachers are not only aware of the career paths that their course of study can lead to, but may also have connections for you! Enjoy learning more about ALL of the things you are interested in!

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. It is a good question. The most important is to find out what careers you have interest.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favorite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you like maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
If you have interest in music, would you like to be a musician, musical artist, singer, music composer, music producer, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Izaya’s Answer

Hey James, I love this question!

I had the same question when I was trying to find the right path for me that aligned with my interests and goals. It took me some time to truly understand what I loved and how I could translate that into my career. Some tips that helped me -

1. Don't be afraid to take risks and try new things that fill your cup. Growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone, and it can lead to incredible insights about who you are, who you're becoming, and what exactly motivates you. Challenge yourself to dive into your passions, find your niche, and then do some research to understand how your passion and career interests intersect.
2. Sit down with yourself and journal your goals, write down what you like and dislike, and create a list to help narrow down your options
3. Strive to be a lifelong learner and never be afraid to ask questions. I was a very shy student in high school, so I had to push myself out of my comfort zone to find guidance. Your network will be incredibly helpful as you begin your career, so look to build meaningful relationships. You never know what opportunities could come from them.

Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
