Breanna’s Answer

This is a tough one to answer, without knowing more details. Often times it will depend on the campus location, meal plans offered through the sorority, living in the house, and any other added expenses. The costs vary from one Sorority to another. For me, I joined a sorority that had a meal plan (M-F, breakfast, lunch and dinner) which helped with food costs, and I also lived in the house which was cheaper than living off campus.

Katie’s Answer

It really depends on both the sorority, the university/area of the country, and what is included in dues. I was in a sorority at Penn State and our dues were approximately $400/semester. However, we did not have a house (and therefore no room and board was included in that amount) and there were occasional "additional" costs that were not included like merchandise (tshirts, sweatshirts, etc. and were usually totally optional) as well as an additional cost for some (but not all) events. I would recommend reaching out to the Greek Life office on campus to ask for a ballpark figure!
