Does anyone know of other sites like this, but for other regular, everyday topics?
I want an area for teenagers where they can talk about their experiences and get advice on specific situations.

Hello, Maria !
Well, I would not refer you to any online "teen" forums for conversations with anonymous users. This venture would best be done IN PERSON. Being part of an in-person group will foster social skills and a good way to make new friends and share support for one another. If you had indicated your location, I could have referred you to some on site groups that could fulfill what you are looking for.
Some organizations in the United States for teens that meet in person are Coalition for Adolescent Girls, Girls Empowerment Network, PEARLS for Teen Girls, WriteGirl, She's the First, Girls for a Change and Girls on the Run. See if there are any chapters of these groups where you live and GO IN PERSON.
You can also start a group at your high school. This can count as Volunteer Work and can go on a resume. Speak with your teacher about how your school starts extracurriculars and write out a plan for this support group that you're thinking about. You will get so much more out of it if you do this on site, in person. You can even ask your faith based communities if they would like to have this group as part of what they offer the community.
You can also visit your local social service and community service agencies and groups in your community and see about having your group on site at their office - it would be a good addition to their services.
So, peer support and peer counseling about situations is most effective in person. Members of the group can also do activities and enjoy entertainment, too. It can be a perfect way to expand your social circle, but not online. In person makes a special and important impact for the community and will provide you with vital personal growth.
Best wishes in all you do !
