Great day Wyatt! This is wonderful that you are looking for work. Have you tried your local grocery stores, food pantries, dog walking, house sitting, or even a car wash? This would be great for starting your own business as well. If you are good with technology, you could update people's/businesses websites. Good luck!

Hey Wyatt !
At 14, there are several job opportunities you can explore, depending on your interests and local labor laws. Here are some ideas
1. *Babysitting or pet sitting*: Many families need trustworthy sitters for their kids or pets. You can advertise your services in your neighborhood or use platforms like (link unavailable)
2. *Lawn care or gardening*: Offer to mow lawns, rake leaves, or help with gardening tasks for neighbors or family friends.
3. *Tutoring*: If you excel in a particular subject, consider offering tutoring services to younger kids in your area.
4. *Working at a local farm or stable*: Some farms or stables hire young teens to help with tasks like horse care, gardening, or farm maintenance.
5. *Retail or food service jobs*: Some stores, restaurants, or ice cream shops may hire 14-year-olds for part-time work, such as bussing tables, hosting, or working as a cashier.
6. *Recreation or camp jobs*: Many recreation centers, summer camps, or youth organizations hire teens as counselors, lifeguards, or activity leaders.
7. *Newspaper delivery*: This classic job is still a great option for young teens who enjoy early mornings and being active.
8. *Working for family friends*: Consider asking family friends if they need help with tasks like cleaning, yard work, or running errands.
Remember to check your local labor laws and regulations regarding employment for minors. Some jobs may require work permits or have specific age restrictions.

Hi Wyatt!
You could create a flyer listing services like dog walking, babysitting, and lawn mowing, and give them to your neighbors. Many restaurants get busy in the summer and might need extra help, offering part-time jobs, especially if they're local. Volunteering is also a great option as you begin high school and start building your resume.
Good luck!

Hi Wyatt!
As someone who started working at 14 I understand the challenges. Many companies are limited to age 16 and above, however there are a few companies that do allow for younger teens. Chick-fil-a is one, (although they might start at 16). At 14, it can be challenging. Ask your parents/friends about their connections. Additionally, you can set up your own "business" by putting out signs in your neighborhood offering to do small chores and odd jobs around the neighborhood.
Good Luck!
