Scott’s Answer

If you are a younger teen, one of the easiest ways to make money is by doing work people need done but do not want to do themselves. Snow shoveling in the winter, lawn mowing in the summer, and raking leaves in the fall are always in demand. You can take it further by renting tools from Home Depot for a day and offering higher-paying jobs like power washing driveways, trimming hedges, or aerating lawns. You do not need to own all the equipment to start. Rent what you need, complete a few jobs, and put the profit back into getting your own tools. That is how you turn weekend work into something that can grow into a real business.

You can also make money online. Selling old clothes, electronics, or items you find cheap at yard sales and thrift stores can be a fast way to earn extra cash. Over time, you can turn this into a small brand around what you sell, whether that is handmade items, reselling good finds, or even creating your own merchandise. Combining local jobs with online selling gives you quick income now and something you can build on for the future.

Scott recommends the following next steps:

Write down three to five services you can offer right now based on the season
Check Home Depot tool rentals and pick one or two that can help you offer higher value jobs
Make a simple flyer or online post advertising your services and pricing
Reinvest profit from early jobs into your own tools or materials
Start selling items online and look for ways to grow it into a brand

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. I am not sure on your age. Please ensure you are eligible to work at your age in your country.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Explore any working opportunities in school, eg library, administration, etc.
2. Check with your neighbours any assistance is required, eg baby sitting, gardening, children tutor, etc.
3. Find any working opportunities in the neighborhood, eg groceries delivery, etc.
4. Explore any part time working opportunities in chain stores, eg supermarket, fast food shop, etc
Make sure the job is suitable to you and safe. Discuss with your parents before you start.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Making money at a young age can be if you're smart, resourceful, and willing to put in some effort.
1) Lawn Mowing / Snow Shoveling / Yard Work
These are quite simple jobs with good payout in your neighborhood
You don't need any special tools—many people will let you use theirs

2)Tutoring or Homework Help
If you're good at any subject like math, English, or science, you can offer to help younger students and may be charge a fair rate from them for this.

3) If you really want to make easy money and don't want to put much efforts then you can Sell Stuff You Don’t Use
Where- Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, or even a garage sale or at any online platform which can be used to sell old goods which are not in use for you for example- Old toys, clothes, books, video games, electronics

Tip: Be safe—always involve an adult when meeting someone or making a deal.

Jackson’s Answer

Hey Brandon,

There isn't really a way to earn "easy" money at a young age, but you can definitely find good ways to earn money. I think a great way to get a start on this is by having a conversation with chatgpt to figure out what you have to offer and what opportunities would be best suited for you. Ask it a bunch of questions and see what would work best for you.

Personally, I think when you are young, the easiest way to start making money is to think like an entrepreneur. Look at the skills you already have and find ways to turn them into something people will pay for. I grew up playing basketball, and after I graduated high school, I started my own coaching business to make extra money. Brainstorm what you are good at and how you can capitalize on it. For example can you tutor anyone, or can you help them develop some kind of skill.

We also live in a digital age with more opportunities than ever to make money online. From selling items you no longer use to offering services like tutoring, graphic design, or social media help, there are countless ways to earn from anywhere.

At the same time, do not overlook local jobs that can pay well. Apply to as many as you can in your area, and think strategically about where the best money is. For example, being a waiter at a busy, high-end restaurant can be a great way to earn significant tips on top of hourly pay.

Through college, I worked a variety of jobs including usher at my college theatre, jewelry store associate, pet sitter, and small side jobs for friends. Every job, no matter how small, helped me gain experience, build a network, and put more money in my pocket.

Kelli’s Answer

Hi Brandon,

It's great to start thinking about saving money early on. When I was around your age, I began working at a local grocery store at 14 to save up for a car. Even though I started with tasks like bagging and collecting carts, I put in my best effort. By 15, I was promoted to cashier, and by 16, I was working in the front office. I continued to grow there through college until I moved on to my current job. The job was flexible enough to fit around my studies, which was really helpful.

There are many ways to earn money, like working in retail or fast food. You might also consider tutoring, yard work, babysitting, or dog sitting. These jobs can be rewarding, even if they don't always offer a regular paycheck. Plus, there's always a need for people to help with odd jobs or moving items. Keep exploring your options, and you'll find something that works for you!

Hey Brandon, you sign up with any of the surveys where you can earn in dollars and withdraw through PayPal.

Prolific pays about $8/hour for academic surveys via PayPal or bank, making it one of the best-paying options.

Surveytime pays instantly after each survey, with cashouts from $5 through PayPal or gift cards.

Survey Junkie (by DISQO) rewards points redeemable for PayPal, bank, or gift cards starting at $5, and even failed attempts earn small points.

All three are safe, reliable, and great for extra income.
