Hello Alim,
The pay will vary based on where you work, what qualifications you have, what company you work for and how much experience you have. From what i've seen the starting salary will usually be anywhere from $17 to $24 an hour but it varies. According to Indeed the lowest pay per year will be $37,440, the average pay will be $72,109 per year and the highest is $138,882 per year in NYC for plumbers. If you want to pursue this, then I would say go for it. Best of luck to you!

It varies greatly by region. Where there is a stronger union presence, wages can be much higher, however union dues and such are applied too. California, for example, would have a much higher pay than Louisiana. Generally speaking, I would aim for entry level to be at $20/hr (plus or minus) as a helper/apprentice, and gain experience to be a journeyman, or foreman who can run crews. After experience is gained and you master the art, very good pay can be achieved. This is further compounded by the fact that you can enter the industry right out of high school and avoid any debts that would hinder wages earned from a position requiring a degree.
Join a company that offers apprenticeships.
Enter a plumbing union if in an area where unions are prevalent.
