Hi Angelo,

It’s great that you’re already thinking about a trade career while still in high school, and I believe becoming an HVAC technician is a smart and practical choice. Job stability in this field is strong, especially in New York, where HVAC technicians earn an average of around $68,950 per year. In fact, one of my colleagues began his career as an HVAC technician before pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Heating and cooling systems are essential in every household, commercial space, and industrial facility, which means the demand for skilled professionals to install and maintain these systems will continue to grow. Choosing this path can lead to a secure and rewarding career with plenty of opportunities for advancement.
Thank you comment icon Thank you very much for your input. Im looking forward to perusing a career in HVAC and appreciate your advice. Angelo
