What is it like working in Christian Ministry?

What is something that you wish someone told you when you first started working towards Christian Ministry? I'm going to a Christian College to get a foundation in the bible so that I can properly use my other gifts to help those in need, and would like to know what to expect so I can be prepared. Thank You!

Focus on the whole person not just the spiritual. This seems obvious but really sometimes gets lost in Christian ministry. Matthew 25:36-40
