Do you think running a psychology firm that incorporates religious beliefs, specifically Christian ideals, is a reasonable dream career? Would it be successful?
I am an undergraduate student that is in a 3+2 program, so I am able to get my bachelors and master's in five years. I am entering the 3rd year which is undergrad/graduate at the same time, because of this I have started thinking about my future more. I am deeply rooted in my faith, but I believe that mental health is extremely important. Because of this I have been trying to find a way to combine them, but I wonder if other people would accept that type of therapy/practice. I took addiction psychology this semester and I learned how in the 12 step program they incorporate Christian ideals, so I believe it's possible. I just wonder about the likelihood of me making it happen.
What majors are there out there that set up students for going into ministry?
I'm a current junior starting to look into my intended major, and I've noticed discrepancies among colleges with different ministry majors. I want to know which ones are actually majors that will prepare me for going into the ministry (and not just study courses) and which colleges would be best for this major.
What is it like working in Christian Ministry?
What is something that you wish someone told you when you first started working towards Christian Ministry? I'm going to a Christian College to get a foundation in the bible so that I can properly use my other gifts to help those in need, and would like to know what to expect so I can be prepared. My GPA is 3.7 and I am applying for all nursing programs at mostly catholic schools. I have started a youth group at my church and I am a Eucharistic Minister.
What jobs are available in Christian ministries?
Can I earn a living doing Christian ministry or must I have a complementary source of income (a second job)?
