Is there a job title where I can be a nurse as well as a counselor?

I've always known that I want to go into the medical field, but lately I've been taking an interest to counseling. #professor #nurse #counselor

Psychiatric nursing is a possibility. You could work on an inpatient psych unit. There are also nurses who become NP's and focus on mental health. I have seen nurses who also get the masters in counseling, though it would be a lot of work. I would encourage you to try being a psychiatric technician on an inpatient unit, you will see what both sides do and experience a bit of it yourself.
