What does a community relations coordinator do on a day-to-day basis? What kind of skills are required for the job? #fall25

I plan on majoring in sports management to get a career in the sports industry. I would especially like to learn more about this specific job title.

All jobs are going to differ in their expectations and day-to-day tasks/responsibilities. I can say that, as a communications professional, you will want to be organized and an efficient communicator. Recruiters and job hirers will want to make sure they're hiring someone who is self motivated and proactive in the workplace!

Keep yourself versed on new social media platforms, sports news and get certifications where you can (Sprout Social, HubSpot, Google Ads, etc.). This shows that you can do the work without being asked to.
