Isida’s Answer

Hello Shelby,
This is a good answer, but I will answer it from international perspective because my home country is Albania (Mediterranean zone) near Greece. Women in Albania face several challenges when pursuing sports careers. One of the biggest issues:

Isida recommends the following next steps:

Limited funding and institutional support, which makes it harder for female athletes to access training facilities and professional opportunities
Cultural Stereotypes also play a role, as sports are often seen as male-dominated, leading to less encouragement for girls to participate
Media coverage is unequal, with men's sports receiving far more attention than women's which affects visibility and sponsorships. Despite these barriers, progress is being made through initiatives by universities, NGOs and international organizations that promote gender equality in sports. Media narratives and repeated imagery also shape cultural norms about gender and athleticism, reinforcing stereotypes that prioritize appearance over achievement and of course Sexualized and objectifying images where female athletes are more likely to be shown in seductive poses or scant clothing while male athletes are depicted performing their sport—an imbalance that changes how audiences evaluate competence and worth. But the last paragraph is not a usual situation because with are still a development country which we still need to make improvement in sports.
