When working on a bunch of assignments, how should I pace myself in between each one to prevent missing work and improve grades ?

I'm a 12th grader, who likes to draw and has issues with procrastination. I have bad sleeping habits and like to have my free time.

Hi Aniya. My advice is: write down all your assignments, when they're due, and how long you think each one will take. For big projects, you can break them into smaller steps like research, outlining, writing, and editing. This makes the work feel easier and helps you make progress a little at a time instead of waiting until the last minute.

Since you mentioned that you struggle with procrastination, it's a good idea to start assignments earlier than you think you need to. That way, if something takes longer than expected, you still have time to finish without rushing.

Because you like to draw and enjoy your free time, you can use those as rewards for staying focused. Try studying or working on an assignment for about 45-60 minutes, then take a short 10-15 minute break to draw, listen to music, or relax. This keeps you refreshed and helps your mind stay sharp.

Also, you should focus on one assignment at a time instead of trying to do several at once. Multitasking might feel productive, but it actually slows you down and makes it harder to do your best work. Finishing one task before starting another gives you a sense of accomplishment and helps you stay motivated.

Your sleep habits also affect how well you work and how focused you feel. Try going to bed and waking up at around the same time every day, even on weekends if you can. Getting enough rest helps your brain stay clear and your mood positive.
