Hello, Yusuf Isa !
Since you already have completed your Bachelors Degree and the path towards Environmental Health Science, the academic path should have taught you how to start your career and could have prepared you for the work. My basic advice for this is to return to your Environmental Health Science Department and also visit the on campus Academic Counseling office and Career Center if your University has those. They can advise you accurately for work in Nigeria and steps to work internationally after you gain a couple of years experience locally.
If you do not know how to go about applying for work in your field, I would advise connecting with some of the government programs that could help you in your country. These are The Labour Employment and Empowerment Programme, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, The National Directorate of Employment, the Vocational Skills Development Initiative, and The Nigerian Youth Employment Action Plan.
In addition to government departments and programs, you can also connect with the Jobberman portal online and Employer of Record services like Playroll assist international companies in hiring Nigerian employees compliantly, managing payroll, taxes, and statutory benefits, including social security and health care contributions.
You may want to build up your resume with work in your country and you can look for career jobs at the websites MyJobMag, Indeed Nigeria, Hot Nigerian Jobs, UNJobs.org, Global Health Trials, and Career Junction (South Africa). You will just have to apply for jobs that you qualify for and wait to hear back. No one can tell you a guarantee for "success". All careers are a process and you get out of it what you put into it.
If your path for environmental health science did not teach you what skills are needed for this work, you can read employment notices at the websites I've mentioned. There are usually descriptions in the employment notices of what job duties the applicant must have skills in.
Returning to the University from which you received your Bachelors Degree will help you out a lot. Do not hesitate to visit your former professors for explanations and guidance on how to start your career. They would be the ones that can accurately guide you.
I hope this helps a little for a start and I wish you all the best !
