Hi, good question- I would highly advice to learn artificial intelligence and GEN AI. It is the heartbeat of all technology these days. You can learn it via chatgpt, yutube, google.com, course era.com, LinkedIn. learning, udemy, mit free courses and many more sites for free.

Besides that, you can also look into other career options like

1. UX design- It really needs creative thinking.

2. Data Driven story telling

3. Product Management - Creative tech professionals need to collaborate with developers, architects

4. Solution Architecture - This is very much in demand as many of the company is going on cloud and will def need new solution architects to design their old on premise-based technologies in a more creative, efficient way on cloud.

Thanks, Sweata

Invest in your soft skills! With new tools coming out (hello AI), technology and building technical skills are more readily available today - for anyone and everyone - at your fingertips. This makes soft skills (e.g., communication, building relationships, presenting/speaking, taking initiative, creativity, influencing, etc.) even more important. When interviewing, your ability to highlight your soft skills will be your differentiator, especially early in your career.

That's a great question, and it's on a lot of people's minds right now. Technology is always needed, but with so many people in the field, it's important to find ways to stand out and keep your skills relevant for the future.

One way to do this is by focusing on how tech can solve real-world problems, like in healthcare. If you can use your creative and technical skills to tackle big challenges in these areas, you'll become more valuable. Data analytics and AI are especially important if you can use them to make things more efficient, improve experiences, or save money.

Cybersecurity is another growing field. With so many data breaches happening, companies really need people who can protect their information.

Digital transformation is also key—helping businesses modernize, move to the cloud, or set up new online services like telehealth. If you can show that you're good at leading projects and helping people adapt to new tech, you'll be in demand.

Besides technical skills, focus on things that make you stand out, like problem-solving, working well with diverse teams, communicating ideas clearly, and knowing the rules and ethics in your field.

The main thing is to stay curious, keep learning, and find ways your tech skills can make a real difference. If you can connect technology with industry needs, you'll have more opportunities, even in a crowded job market.

In an oversaturated tech market, I believe the most important pivot for creative tech professionals is not away from technology, but toward the distinctly human skills that sit on top of it.

Tools will keep changing. AI will continue to automate tasks. What will stand out are people who can combine technical fluency with emotional intelligence, proactive problem solving, and empathy for the end user and for their teammates.

For me, that means focusing on skills such as:
• Emotional intelligence and empathy: Reading the room, understanding stakeholder needs, and translating complex tech decisions into human impact.
• Proactive, quick thinking: Anticipating problems before they land in a backlog and making thoughtful decisions when there is limited information.
• Storytelling and communication: Turning data, prototypes, and experiments into clear narratives that move leaders and customers to action.
• Collaboration and facilitation: Bringing cross functional teams together, asking the right questions, and helping a group align on the next right step.

Technical skills open the door, but these human skills are what take someone from good to great. The creative tech professionals who will thrive in the future are the ones who can use technology as a powerful instrument, while leading with curiosity, empathy, and sound judgment.

That's a great question! It's important to work on your people skills. Even though technology and AI are changing our world, we still need people who can form strong connections and make sure AI data is accurate.
