I practice pediatric optometry, which means that I see kids of all ages - infants to teenagers. My favorite part of my job as an optometrist is helping kids see, because this is so important for their learning and development. I regularly prescribe eyeglasses and I also treat amblyopia, where the vision development can decreased in one eye due to a stronger glasses prescription or eye turn. I see my patients' vision improve through my treatment plans. My works brings me great joy and purpose on a regular basis! There is a saying "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life," and that definitely applies to the majority of my daily work.
