There are basically five steps to become an audiologists:
1. Get a 4 year bachelor's in a related field like Communication Sciences and Disorders
2. Complete a 3-4 year Au.D degree
3. Complete required, supervised clinical hours usually as part of the Au.D. program
4. Pass a national certification exam like the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA
5. Get licensed in whichever state you plan to practice in

The total cost will depend on the schools you attend and potential scholarship etc. but you're likely to incur $100,000+ tuition over those 7-8 years.
