When you believe you have undiagnosed mental problems, what is the best way to talk notes? The field that I am in requires a lot of noting taking.

Hey Mai...
Braveness is when u believe and acknowledge you have a problem and willing to keep moving. Talking notes can be tough, especially when you're worried about undiagnosed mental issues. Here are some tips that might help:

Be honest with yourself. Acknowledge your concerns and struggles. It's okay to say, "I'm having a hard time focusing" or "I'm feeling overwhelmed."
Use a system that best works for you and don't be pressured by societal views. Experiment with different note-taking methods, like mind maps, audio recordings, or digital tools. Find what helps you stay organized and focused.
Always use the Break it down method. Divide your notes into smaller, manageable chunks. This can help reduce anxiety and make it feel less overwhelming.
Emphasis on the principle of Prioritization. Focus on capturing key points and main ideas. Don't worry too much about perfection – it's about getting the important stuff down.
Don't let your fears deprived you from Asking for help. If you're struggling, don't be afraid to ask a colleague or supervisor for support. They might have some helpful suggestions or accommodations.

In your field, you might consider:
- Using a digital tool that allows you to tag or categorize notes
- Creating a template for note-taking to help stay organized
- Setting reminders or alerts to review and follow up on important points
- Finding a note-taking buddy or accountability partner for support

How's that? Is this helpful Mai?

Hi Mia,

If you believe you have undiagnosed mental problems, the first step would be to get tested and diagnosed.

Once you understand what your "problem" is, you'll have a much easier time finding work-arounds and study methods. You can look for tips and tricks from other people facing the same challenges. Depending on the diagnosis, you might also be able to get accommodations that help you succeed.

Personally, I always take lots of notes, even if there are lecture notes because it helps me to focus and forces me to pre-digest what I am listening to. Even better is to read the next chapter before class and work through the notes after class, add comments and read up on concepts that I find difficult.

I hope this helps! All the best to you!
