What kinds of entry-level jobs or internships are common for zoology majors to find in college, and what steps should I be taking to secure them?

I’m a 17 year old high school senior with an unyielding passion for animal science. I have been accepted into university for zoology, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m taking steps towards my future by learning about internship and career opportunities I can pursue, and I’d greatly appreciate any guidance from those already in the field!

Get thee to the Dallas Zoo or some other local animal focused place and do whatever you can to get an internship there. Work for pay if you can, but an internship can open more of the doors you probably want opened.
