Hi, in this day and age, I am curious whether architecture is still a program that is worth going into, because of ai and in general as a good career.

Hi Dakota. Architecture can still be a worthwhile career, but it's important to understand both the challenges and the opportunities in today's world.

In recent years, technology has changed how architects work. Artificial intelligence and software tools can now handle some tasks and even design suggestions. This might sound worrying, but it doesn't mean architects are being replaced. Instead, architects now need to focus on creativity, problem-solving, communication, and designing spaces that meet people's needs. These are things that AI can't fully do. Therefore, learning how to use technology while staying creative makes you more valuable as an architect.

Another consideration is the job market. Architecture can be competitive, and salaries may vary depending on location, type of work, and experience. If you're open to different paths within architecture and willing to gain experience, it can still be a rewarding career.

Hi Dakota, thank you for reaching out with such an important career question. It's great that you're thinking about this, and I'm here to help you understand it better. Architecture is always going to be important because people love design and creativity. Buildings need skilled architects for their structure and style. Don't worry about AI taking over. Instead, embrace it. Learn and explore how it can help architects in the future. Like other fields, we need to keep learning about new technology. AI is here to enhance our abilities, much like the Internet did. It's a tool to make our work easier. We should look at how it can help us grow and be aware of any challenges. Remember, AI won't replace the human connections we have with our clients and our work.
