Whats the key difference between a Double Major and Dual Degree?
I’ve been researching double majors versus double degrees and have a basic understanding of each. However, I’d appreciate some clarification on the specific differences. Could you help me determine which would be more advantageous to pursue based on certain career paths or academic goals?

A double major is when you earn a degree with two major field that goes up to four years which overlapping the courses to save time for bachelor and it is very manageable because it will reduce extra credits you need for your bachelor, such as B.A math and physics because both of them used similar skills that combing into one.
A dual degree earns you two separate degrees that takes more credits and time that results of two degree at once which give you less manageable which cause burnout due to workload, takes longer than 5 years to complete, and the costs of those are higher, such as majoring in Engineering & Business.
But if it really depends on how much you are capable of, if you are able to manage a huge workload without struggling to manage all through it and you have good study system that used to back you up, I suggest going to dual degree.
If you aren’t good of manage a tons of workload and struggling to manage to keep up with the work, needs to build up your study system, I suggest going to double major to save yourself from having to pay a lot of debt and headaches with heavy workload since college financial aid can take away your aid if you don’t have the maximum or minimum of credits hours or grades you need to qualify for the aid, especially if you are in academic probation or warning.
Good luck with your journey, keep your heads up and it is okay to make mistakes but never let your failure become your enemies, failure equals trying your best and making it out without giving up completely.

Hello Isaiah!
I 'll provide an overview and hope it helps.
-Double Major
A double major means you are earning one degree (like a bachelor's in economics) but specializing in two different subjects (like Finance and Accounting). 1. Requirement: You fulfill the core requirement for one degree plus the specific major requirements for both subjects. 2.Credits: Usually stays around the standard 120 credits. 3.Outcome: You graduate with one diploma that lists both majors
-Dual Degree
A dual degree means you are earning two separates' degrees, often in different colleges within the same university (like a bachelor's in economics and a bachelor's in information technology and economics). 1.Requirements: You must complete the distinct core requirements for both degrees. 2.Credits: Usually requires significantly more credits often 140 - 160+ and more. 3.Outcome: You graduate with two separate diplomas.
Hope it helps, - this is the education standard in my home country and my path education.
