Hi Liam! Hi! As both Cynthia and Linh mentioned, Anatomy and Physiology is definitely the right choice. To become a physical therapist, you will need a bachelor’s degree and then a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Your major can be anything you enjoy, such as pre‑physical therapy, pre‑med, Kinesiology, or Business, as long as you complete the prerequisite courses each DPT program requires. Most programs list these on their websites, and they usually include Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy and Physiology, College Algebra or higher, Psychology, and Medical Terminology.
All DPT programs must be accredited, and you can see the full list of accredited DPT programs and their prerequisite courses here: https://aptaapps.apta.org/accreditedschoolsdirectory/default.aspx?UniqueKey%3D.
I hope this helps. You got this!

To get into a physical therapy graduate program, you need to meet certain requirements. Most programs ask you to study chemistry, biology, physics, anatomy, and physiology during your undergraduate years. If you can take these subjects in high school, it will help you when you study them in college. Since admission to these programs is very competitive, it's important to get good grades in your college science classes. Starting these subjects early in high school can improve your chances of success in college. Best of luck!

If it's available to you, anatomy & physiology! If you're in AP and can take the exams for college credit, definitely knock out your PT program prerequisites. PT school is a doctorate program in the US, so you will need a Bachelor's degree first, but I still recommend looking at colleges and seeing what their prerequisites are and knocking them out for college creds. They can be classes like Chemistry I and II, Anatomy & Physiology, Physics I and II.
