Thank you for your question. I am glad to know that you have interest in Music.
Below are my suggestions :
1. There are many careers related to music, .e.g. musician, singer, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etc. You can find out more music related careers online.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1or 2 careers you would like to pursue.
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in Music Schools.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Hi Cherish,

Have you considered looking for volunteer or internship opportunities? Or contacting some professional artists or musicians to see if they'd be willing to do informational interviews with you? I'd suggest talking to your art and music teachers to see if they had some specific sources for you, or maybe check out one of your excellent local museums or art schools to see if there are any summer programs you could take advantage of.

These are just a few ideas to get you thinking. Cast a wide net and stay open to inspiration!

Deborah’s Answer

We are ALL put on this earth knowing exactly who we are. Sometimes life, the world and even parents make us loose our way. I was lucky to have parents who simply let me be ME. I was singing as soon as I could talk. I never shut up since then. There are NO musicians, or singers in my family. We had NO music in our home other than a radio. I am a singer because I simply dance to the beat of my own drum. You might have to look inside to find out who you are. Secondly, the problem with newbies is that they think they can do it without STUDYING AND PRACTICING THEIR CRAFT. I went to college after high school to get a degree in vocal music. You can even start online https://online.berklee.edu/ But you'll not gain any respect in your field if you haven't put in the TIME.
