Have you ever used augmented reality as a teacher? - Claire

My name is Claire, and I've been learning about virtual and augmented reality at Verizon's STEM Camp. I am currently in middle school and would like to someday be a teacher. Have you as a teacher ever used AR in a lesson as a teaching aid? Thanks.

An excellent app for teachers and students is human anatomy atlas 2019 by visible body is available for ios and Android for purchase! It's a great start to dabble in biology AR for teacher students and science enthusiasts!

What a great goal!

I work on a team that is innovating with AR and VR for companies. One of the best areas for the technology is for training / teaching. The students are more focused and remember more of the lesson because they are immersed in it. So what you are thinking of--using AR/VR in teaching--is a perfect use case.

How to get there? Keep learning more about the technology as you go through school. When you get to university, build your own minor that reflects what you'd like to do with the technology in education by taking classes from the engineering school (or wherever they are using new technologies) and work on ways to apply them to teaching. It sounds like a wonderful path to take. Good luck!
