What should I currently be doing as a 10th grader who wants to go to college after high school to become a NICU nurse?

Currently, I'm watching YouTube videos and studying the information I need to know. I want to try to volunteer at any hospital, but I'm not exactly sure what I would need to do to volunteer. I'm also wondering what I can do to already be prepared and have most of my pre-reqs, if that's even possible for me right now.

Check your local universities and community (junior) colleges for summer, youth medical programs or internships.

Do you know anyone that does what you want to do? Do your parents? It's always best to start with someone you know even if it's your own doctor or nurse. They can tell you what to do as well.
