How can I change my study habits to better prepare for medical school? #Spring26 #Fall26
I am an incoming medical student (MS1), preparing to start school in the fall of 2026. One of my biggest worries is the amount of information we will be taught in medical school. How can I keep up or plan ahead? #Spring26 #Fall26

First, congratulations on your acceptance to medical school. That is a great accomplishment. Take time to celebrate and relax. You should start with the techniques you used to study for the MCAT and your pre-requisite courses. Turn to the AAMC, they have a lot of very helpful resources - https://students-residents.aamc.org/attend-medical-school. Hey Elle! I want to congratulate you on pulling this off! Getting into med school is a huge deal. So congratulations!!! I think in order to be great at med school one would need to be very consistent with the material they provide you, your professors for each class for e.g because there’s aloooot of content out there which is really great but most times the professors really value if you go through content provided by them so that’s one. But to have a solid base I would also recommend sources like-pathoma or bootcamp to help you be prepared for what’s to come ahead. Lastly it’s okay if you aren’t able to study on some days, do not beat yourself up for that because med school gets very overwhelming and it’s natural to feel burned out. Make sure you have a good support system and a solid routine outside of school, something that helps you keep going!! Because this journey is a marathon and not a sprint! Take this time to enjoy and relax! And all will be well. Good luck!!
