How do people that don't qualify for "need based" scholarships get financial aid support?

Don't qualify for "need based" scholarships from FAFSA and from the universities themselves however tuition is too expensive to be able to afford it without scholarships.

Hi - A lot of students who do not receive need-based aid end up filling the gap with outside scholarships, especially community and group scholarships. Federal Student Aid specifically points students to places like community and religious organizations, local businesses, community foundations, employers, parents’ employers, high school counselors, state higher-education agencies, and organizations tied to your interests. These often have less applicants as well! Talk to your guidance counselor at school to determine what might be out there that fits your situation, academics and interests!
