How can I balance being a full-time student with having a fulfilling social life? #Spring26

As a high school senior, I plan on attending a 2-year community college and obtaining a real estate license. Any tips, shortcuts, or habits I can use to manage my time as efficiently as possible? I want to balance my workload with enough free time for social interaction and opportunities to network outside of school.

Thank you for your question. Firstly, you can find a good time management tool to help, eg MS outlook, Google Calendar, Phone Calendar, etc
Below are my suggestions :
1. Put down the time you need to attend classes
2. Assign some time every day on your projects and assignment. Review the material covered in the class of the day. If you have any questions, ask through teacher on next school day.
3. You can them allocate time for your leisure, friends and family gatherings, etc
4. Make sure you have enough sleep and do some exercise
5. Allocate more time for revision before assessment and start prepare early
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

You've taken the first step in balancing your life by asking this question! Suggest you first make a list of your priorities and goals. Then divide your time among those and your responsibilities. For example, if reading is important to you, schedule time each day to do that. Keep a daily list of things you need or want to do and at the end of the day check to see if you met them. Revisit your priorities list every couple of weeks.

With every good wish and many blessings,
Karen

Hi Isaiah,

Balancing school and social life can be tough, but I found a way that works. I split my week into blocks. I usually did social activities from Thursday to Saturday, so I focused on finishing important tasks from Sunday to Wednesday.

Another tip is to figure out which social events matter most to you. Make a list of your social activities and rank them. This helps you focus on what you truly enjoy and skip the rest.

As a high school student, managing your time well is important to balance school and social life. Find a calendar that works best for you, whether it's digital, paper, a whiteboard, or a mix. I like using a digital calendar with different colors for family, work, and social events, and I use a whiteboard to keep track of upcoming tests and projects.

If you're interested in a real estate career, consider connecting with a local real estate agent or broker. They might be able to mentor you or have an opportunity for you to help in their office. This can give you a good idea of what it takes to be a successful real estate agent.

Lynn’s Answer

You're handling both college and getting your real estate license, which is impressive! As you step into full adulthood, you'll have more priorities to manage. Planning well is important. Make a schedule and be firm about avoiding distractions. This will help you make the most of your valuable time.
