What made you realize your major was for you ?

Personally, every day I wonder if this was the right major, even a year in. So how did you know that your major was for you, did certain moments lead up to you saying yeah this is for me, or did you just wake up one day and decide is that is what you want to do?

I'll echo what Bill said above! Take classes that you feel you are interested in and that speak to you. College is a great time to explore which classes are interesting and even what career might be helpful for you. I ended up taking classes and by the end of my college experience I was eligible for three majors. Some were relevant to my career and some have not been advantageous.

I've also found that many careers don't necessarily require you to have a specific major and that you will be able to succeed regardless.

Hi, your question is perfectly natural. Life is a journey with lots of twists and turns and very few people know what they want to do from beginning to end. Having said that, it is still a good idea to plan. Just be aware that your plans may change as you gain more exposure and experience.
I didn't finalize my major (Math and Economics) until my junior year. I had four possible majors in mind and only decided after I had explored courses in each of them. I also tried to take courses that would build a solid foundation for many different possible career paths. College is a wonderful opportunity to explore different fields, ideas, and people and I encourage you to take as much advantage of that while you can.
