What are your strategies for creating/selecting class schedules that would allow time for studying, rest and most importantly, community service. #Spring26?

Hi Gabrielle,
Something that worked for, especially when I was juggling school and a part time job, was to stack my classes so that I was only attending class twice a week. Many classes tend to be M/W or T/TH so I would try to get all my classes to be on the same two days which opened up time for me to do other things throughout the week. The downside was that I was stuck on campus from 1p-9:30p on Tuesday & Thursdays but I thought it was well worth it!

What always worked for me was to schedule classes back to back to allow for larger blocks of time to do other things, such as study, rest, volunteer, work, etc. I preferred my classes in the morning because that is when I think the best, but whatever time works best for you. If you schedule back to back classes, you are already in "class mode," so it's easier to go from class to class, rather than random breaks in between that sometimes aren't long enough to do much. Hope that helps!
