How can you reach out to people who have the job that I want outside of my reach?

I have a bunch of family members who work/ have worked in the medical industry, although I have yet to meet someone who has done sonography.

Hi Breana,

LinkedIn is honestly a great platform for this. You can search “sonography” and find people near you with titles like Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Ultrasound Technologist.

A lot of people are open to answering questions if you keep it short and genuine (you can send a message to them directly). It’s also a really good way to start networking and making connections in the field early on (request virtual coffee chats, etc.).
